So, you are in the Space Force…

She clearly wasn’t wearing a Red Shirt

Just a few days ago, I was having a problem with my car and one of its tires. As I was waiting in line at the Discount Tire store, a lady in a tan military outfit was talking to one of the customer service employees about their tire issues. She stated that she was in the Space Force.

Now, I haven’t paid much real attention to the Space Force and I thought because of what Trump wanted that it was more of a joke than anything else. When I think of Space Force, I’m thinking of aliens and searching the stars for alien life, etc. So of course, I had some other things in mind in response. I only kept this to myself though.

I thought, well, I haven’t seen any Klingons or any Stormtroopers with Darth Vader or any Cylons. I told a good friend about this and he had hoped they’d help clean out the dumped trash around the space around the Earth. So, what is the need of this Space Force? I decided to check out what this is really about.

Through their own website on their FAQs page, currently seems to be about security physical and cyber security of satellites from other countries such as Russia and China or others that would be considered “against” America. This also includes GPS information and even help with the internet, etc. Sounds a bit also like spying from space to those who are considered our enemies or anyone that they feel they need to get more information about.

On another website American University, does state that this grew from the original Space Command from the Air Force and be its own military independent branch. This also confirms that it will be about the satellites and making sure that nothing happens to them.

So, are even aliens even in the picture with this Space Force? It doesn’t look like it. There are those that feel there is something going on, but being that I’m a big Star Trek fan, I’m sure that most aliens are waiting until we get warp technology before they represent themselves and let us know they really exist.

This doesn’t mean that they haven’t been around, but unfortunately, it isn’t like we get visits that are so noticeable and most that seem to get them are usually ridiculed. Let’s not forget that the government and military will always state it is something else rather than an alien, especially if there have been actual alien visits.

Do I believe that there are actual visits from aliens? Maybe. I can’t tell since I haven’t experienced anything like it, but until I know that everyone that has experienced it is just a hoax or hallucinating, I’m going to state it is possible. Also, the idea that with billions of stars in our own galaxy, the potential of some of them also having life, is very possible.

If aliens are truly around and the government and military are hiding the information, the Space Force may already have another reason to be there. Yet, why I do get the feeling more like they are the Stormtroopers than an actual Starfleet that is being created because it starts more with a military protection feel? It isn’t about exploration. It is more of a military operation. Yes, Starfleet has military aspects in Star Trek, but exploration was the beginning, and that the military had the knowledge and know how to make it work. It wasn’t like the military was just about protecting, but more like another branch like NASA rather than some Space Force.

Hence, this is my idea that the Space Force is looking more like Stormtroopers to me. Now, I’m just waiting for a huge asteroid coming at us and that the Space Force will call on some drillers to help them out in destroying that asteroid in time…
